Hello Yuri! What you have heard is an absolute truth. The chip which is now at the prototype stage is called Rosepoint. It combines CPU and digital WiFi radio in one unit. Still it needs to be tested and improved to be resistant to the RF emissions which will interfere and impair the operation of both CPU and WiFi radio. So Intel needs a few years to finish this project indeed. This WiFi radio will use common wireless frequency that is equal to 2.4GHz and this Rosepoint microchip will be adapted for different devices from PC to smartphones.
